Freddy Hogg is the Pastor of Pinehurst Baptist Church in Pinehurst GA. He and his wife Lynn formed the Cedar Creek Bluegrass Band in the late 1970's. Members were Freddy Hogg guitar, Buck Owens banjo, Jackie Waller fiddle, Bucky Fergeson Dobro, and Lynn Hogg playing the upright bass. Cedar Creek played festivals in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama until the mid 1980's. The band dissolved due to marriages, children, and various other concerns. Freddy was the lead guitarist and lead singer for Cedar Creek. Freddy also plays banjo and mandolin. Cedar Creek placed 3rd in the band contest at the Elijay Bluegrass festival in 1981.  Freddy placed 2nd in the flat-picking’ contest at the same festival. After playing mostly at church functions for the last 15 years, Freddy was excited to get the opportunity to play with the Gooseneck String Band where he is the lead singer and mandolin player. Freddy has played bluegrass music for over 30 years. Cedar Creek Band cut an album in 1982 called "The Creek Has Arrived" on Back Porch Records, Freddy is happy playing Bluegrass and Gospel Music again.
