Gabe developed a love for bluegrass and gospel music early in life with his dad (Larry Gattis).  They listened to favorite cd’s together (Seldom Scene, Del McCoury, Flatt and Scruggs) and went to festivals together.  Gabe began playing guitar at age ten and began lessons weekly.  He progressed rapidly and by eleven was playing for church functions at First Baptist where he attends.  Influenced by artists such as Tony Rice and Norman Blake, Gabe developed his own unique style of flatpicking.  He has a 1953 Martin D-28 with which he amazes audiences wherever he plays.  Gabe is now fourteen and attends Westfield Schools in Perry Ga.  Gabe’s other interests include hot rod cars, running, and staying up all hours of the night playing video games with friends. You can e-mail Gabe at our website.
